Indonesian police beating West Papuan women in Jakarta. 




On 1st December thousands of West Papuan students, demanding self-determination and independence from Indonesia, rallied in Jakarta. 
Indonesian police beat the peaceful demonstrators and tried to break up the rally in an attempt to stop the message of the West Papuan people from being told. 

The people of West Papua and their supporters made a global flag raising day on 1st December to raise essential awareness for their freedom struggle. In the face of an Indonesian government which has killed over 500,000 Papuans.
